(a note from Teresa)

No two mentoring session will ever be alike! Everyone has different needs, strengths, weaknesses and goals.   Your wedding photography mentoring experience will be COMPLETELY customized for you (right down to your dining). If you are interested in a mentoring session, you will first need to send me a quick email telling me a little bit about yourself. From here I will send you a questionnaire to help me understand where you are in your wedding photography session, ie just starting out, or an established photographer that wants to increase your bookings and exposure. After I receive your responses, we will then discuss possible dates and what type of session might be best for you and your business. From here we will also discuss dates and the types of photo shoots you are most interested in, engagements, bridals or even a wedding! Not everyone is ready for a mentoring session, so it may be that I reply to you that your current portfolio doesn’t meet my requirements for a mentoring session. This sounds tough I know, and I don’t want you to think that I will be too picky over lighting, posing etc when I view your current portfolio, but I do want to see that *something* when I look at your work. You know… that one thing that really can’t be taught.

So to recap there are a few steps to getting to the actual booking of a wedding photography mentoring experience (ok I HAVE to come up with a better, SHORTER, term!;)

  • Send me an e-mail introducing yourself and please include a link to any current work of your online, or attach images to the email. Also briefly tell me where you fall now as a photographer, aspiring, amateur or perhaps a pro that wants to grow. (nice it rhymes!)
  • I will then get back with you immediately with my (honest) thoughts on whether you are a good fit for a mentoring experience with me. You will be investing a good bit of time and money into this endeavor, so I would never just lead anyone on that I didn’t think would benefit from this experience.
  • If I feel that your current work is exciting and that you would grow from a mentoring session, then I will send you a questionnaire that will better help me understand exactly where you are in your business and where we can work to let you see the most growth.
  • We will then discuss dates and options for your mentoring. You can see an example of a 2 day itinerary here (this is a $1750.00 session scroll down for all options). Again, every experience will be completely customized right down to what you eat!
  • Once we have decided on your specific mentoring experience, we will proceed with booking your spot. You can use the paypal shopping cart below, or you can call me with a credit card, or mail a check to the studio. A deposit of at least 1/3 is required to hold your date. If your mentoring session is a good bit away, I am happy to discuss a smaller deposit. Should your plans change, I am happy to change your date once as long as I have the dates open at that time. All deposits are non-refundable UNLESS I re-book that same dates. I have had this happen with my wedding photography schedule, and I can assure you I do ALL I can to re-book a canceled date, but it isn’t always possible. Again, though a date can be changed if I have the new dates available.

I know this is A LOT to take in, and I can’t stress enough how completely customized your unique mentoring session will be. I hope that if you have ANY questions at all, that you will email me. I am here to help you grow in whatever way you need. I may not be the perfect mentor for you, but I would love the opportunity to begin a candid discussion with you to see if, just maybe, I am.

Best,

teresa

Hi, Teresa!
I hope you are currently enjoying your weekend with Cynthia – I know she is! I have heard Angie Baer gush about you, as well, and thought it was time to look into this for myself. I started into the photography business the same time as Cyn and Angie. However, I live in a rural area that is not nearly as saturated as London, and it’s tough to get into the business. I have done a few weddings (as well as a couple with Cynthia and Angie), but would obviously like to develop my skills a lot more to make myself stand out better.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Anita
